Welcome to the studio of Columba Architecture
Profile
Columba Architecture is a young London-based architectural design studio
operating predominantly within the public realm. With economic architectures
we produce stories in places that stimulate positive social interconnectivity
and enable diverse public engagement with the built environment.
Working at a variety of scales, designs juxtapose material innovation and
everyday logic to propose place specific spaces and urbanisms. In
collaboration with other designers and artists, projects range from
physical proposals to optimistic fictions to public event productions,
actions are crafted and direct with the potential to evolve new spatial
narratives - an integral and vital part of everyday life.
The studio is actively engaged in teaching, lecturing and ongoing research
projects, which continue to inform the development and character of the work.
Currently the studio is working in collaboration on projects in France, Ireland
and the UK with clients and partners such as the RIBA, London Festival of
Architecture and other individuals and institutions.
